
Financial Management is an important aspect of good governance. Developed specifically for the non-financially minded, this session will address some common misconceptions about responsibility, identify who is responsible and highlight the questions you should be asking. You will also be provided with an overview of the documents typically used.
Free to third sector organisations in Dumfries and Galloway.
Participants will be able to:
- Define “Governance” and its purpose in TSOs.
- Explain why financial management is important.
- Identify who is responsible for Financial Management.
- Describe how you can contribute to excellent Financial Management.
- Outline what actions are needed to ensure financial sustainability.
This session is aimed at Third Sector Trustees, Office Bearers and Senior Management.
The training will be delivered by David Link, an Independent Consultant who helps deliver the training programme for Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway. He has worked with a large number of third sector organisations, helping them with governance and activity planning and delivery.
This training will take place on Zoom. A link with the joining instructions will be sent out before the session.
