Dumfries and Galloway’s Health and Social Care Partnership want everyone to experience safe, high-quality care that meets their needs, rights, and choices.
As a commitment to helping people live better at home for longer, D&G HSCP are excited to announce the launch of the #MakingTheLeap Intrapreneurship Programme in partnership with The Lens. As part of the programme, D&G HSCP have pledged an investment fund of £30,000 to develop and test six ideas over the next six months.
They want to hear from you if you have an idea that:
- Helps people to live well at home for longer.
- Promotes equality and inclusiveness.
- Promotes collaborative partnerships.
- Shows creativity, added value and innovation.
- Demonstrates an understanding of costs.
- Addresses risk.
- Amplifies the voices of people using care.
- Has the potential to be replicated and scaled.
Who are The Lens?
The Lens is an independent charity that works with organisations across the Public, Private and Third Sectors. Founded in 2015, The Lens team have over six years’ experience delivering support to organisations that want to better their services and by extension, the lives of those who access them. They strongly believe that those closest to the problem are the best equipped to solve it, so a key part of their work is providing frontline staff and volunteers the opportunity to feedback on services and share their ideas on how to improve them.
The Lens will be delivering a set of activation workshops over the coming weeks which will provide you the opportunity to share your ideas. Shortlisted applicants will continue to attend regular workshops and mentoring sessions with The Lens, all of which are designed to help you develop the tools, skills and confidence you need to successfully secure investment in your idea.

What is Intrapreneurship?
Simply put, ‘intrapreneurship’ is acting like an entrepreneur within an organisation.

The Lens will help you develop the tools, skills and confidence you need to pitch for investment from this fund.Through a bespoke programme of practical workshops, coaching and peer support, they will ensure you have everything you need to ask for funding and turn your idea into a reality.
How can I get involved?
