Governance in practice is a brand new in-person session delivered by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway (TSDG) responding to sector needs. These events aim to complement TSDGs core training programme by offering practical guidance and information on a range of good governance topics and updates the sector should be aware of.

TSDG staff will share information and facilitate discussion on a range of topics, including:

Trustees – what is collective responsibility?
Changes to Charities Act and Disclosure Act – how does this affect your organisations?
Updating your constitution – how and why
Risk registers

All attendees should bring their governing document to this session and be ready to participate. This event is limited to two people per organisation.


Free to third sector organisations across Dumfries and Galloway.

This session is aimed at trustees and board members as it relates to the governance of third sector organisations. Senior managers are welcome to attend to share this information, if trustees are unable to attend.


This training will be delivered by staff from Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway.
