Focussing on sustainability and succession will ensure that your organisation is prepared for the future. Sustainability covers need and demand, people, materials, finance, strategic (governance) planning and project (activity) planning.
Succession planning should include beneficiaries, members of your governing body, office bearers, members of your organisation and staff. This session will assist you in developing the sustainability of your organisation and how to plan for succession.
Free to third sector organisations in Dumfries and Galloway.
By the end of this session attendees will be able to:
• Explain, with or without notes, the steps you need to take to implement effective succession planning
• Explain, with or without notes, the steps you need to take to implement effective sustainability planning
• List, without notes, who succession and sustainability plans should be shared with.
• Explain, with or without notes the importance of succession and sustainability plans.
• Define with or without notes the meaning and purpose of Governance in the Third Sector
This session is aimed at Trustees, Office Bearers and Senior Management.
The training will be delivered by David Link, an Independent Consultant who helps deliver the training programme for Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway. He has worked with a large number of third sector organisations, helping them with governance and activity planning and delivery.
This training will take place on Zoom. A link with the joining instructions will be sent out before the session.
