- 1. To report to the Young Carers Manager in the provision of services for Young Carers.
- 2. To offer information, advice and support services to Young Carers, their families and professionals as appropriate and to publicise and promote Young Carers activities.
- 3. To work with Young Carers individually and in groups.
- 4. To assess the needs of Young Carers and establish the support required from the Young Carers Project.
- 5. To assist in the development and delivery of age appropriate activities for Young Carers including groups and occasional residential breaks.
- 6. To prepare and distribute information:
a) for Young Carers
b) about Young Carers’ issues
- 8. To raise awareness about the needs of Young Carers within the statutory, private and voluntary sectors.
- 9. To encourage and enable Young Carers to constructively voice their needs and advocate where necessary.
- 10. To assist Young Carers to develop a Young Carers Statement
- 11. To attend regular Carers Centre staff meetings, Young Carers staff meetings and supervision.
- 12. To attend training sessions where appropriate.
- 13. To establish and maintain links with relevant professionals in health, social work, education and third sector; to maximise opportunities for joint working, sharing expertise, reaching Young Carers and networking.
- 14. To participate in promotional activities relating to the work of the organisation including giving presentations.
- 15. To collect statistical and other relevant information, including on unmet need, required for monitoring and reporting purposes and produce reports/information as required.
- 16. Any other duties deemed necessary by Management and the Board of Trustees
