Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway continues to map free warm spaces available for residents across the region.
More than 30 are currently featured on the free to download and use mobile app DGLocator and its website.
A warm space is where someone can access a free warm place to save on using energy at home – even for a short time.
Charities and community groups across Dumfries and Galloway are opening spaces, often offering warm drinks, food, and activities alongside; other times, the space is just available to keep warm and have a chat with others attending.
DGLocator is the free mobile app created by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway to map services from organisations and charities in the region.
It is now also being used to map community resilience services to help those in need easily identify what is available locally.
You can download the app for Apple devices at https://apple.co/3BbTNs8 and for Android at https://bit.ly/dglocatorandroid
The DGLocator website is also available to use here: https://dglocator.org.uk/
If you know of a warm space not on DGLocator, you can email info@tsdg.org.uk with the details or add them here: DGLocator service. Please only contact us about warm spaces not on DGLocator, unless a change is required on a current entry.
The DGLocator service link can also be used to add other third sector services.
