University invites third sector organisations to take part in welcome fairs

Third sector organisations are being invited to take part in the Welcome Week at The University of Glasgow, Dumfries Campus from September 16th-20th.

The university is seeking enthusiastic stallholders for various fairs, held daily from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the Rutherford McCowan Building on the Crichton Campus.

Here’s what is planned for the week:

Monday, September 16th – Freshers Fair:
We invite statutory partners, local businesses, and third-sector organisations to welcome our new students to town.

Tuesday, September 17th – Societies Fair:
From knitting and art clubs to drama societies, we’re seeking third-sector organisations and businesses looking to expand their memberships and reach.

Wednesday, September 18th – Sports Club Fair:
Sports organisations in Dumfries and Galloway, join us to host a stall or run a taster session for our students.

Thursday, September 19th – Volunteer Fair:
If you’re looking for new volunteers, this is your chance! Get in touch to be part of our Volunteer Fair.

Friday, September 20th – International Fair:
Help us make our international students feel at home in Dumfries. We’re looking for organisations that can provide a warm welcome.
